Orange, Grape and Fresh Date Salad
This is a North African inspired fruit salad dessert, scented with orange flower water and mint, served with thick yoghurt
900g oranges, peeled with a sharp knife so there is no pith, sliced 1cm thick
150g seedless grapes, halved
120g fresh dates, pitted and halved
juice of 1 orange
2 tablespoons caster sugar
1 tablespoon orange flower water
mint leaves for serving
400g thick, plain unsweetened yoghurt
Put the oranges, grapes and dates onto a shallow serving platter.
Sprinkle the juice, sugar and orange flower water evenly over everything.
Reserve for 10 minutes for the sugar to melt.
Serve sprinkled with mint leaves with the yoghurt on the side.
Serves 4.
